Digital Photo Art
IndigoMoods
about
I
bought my first
camera 50 years ago and have been taking
photographs ever since.
For a large portion of those 50 years I was a doctor. Photographs have appeared in
exhibitions,
features in photographic and general magazines, six international
yearbooks
of photography as well as in national newspapers, consumer magazines,
general books,
in-flight magazines, the greetings cards and
calendar
markets, and in the corporate
sector.
The images on this site and on the
alamy website listed under IndigoMoods
are digital fusions of elements taken from my huge collection of photographs
and are
fused or blended together in Photoshop where traditional darkroom
methods like
dodging and burning are now performed digitally. New photographs or
digital scans
are also performed when required. The number of photographic
elements used varies from
two to many.
I have no set pattern as to how
the final images are achieved: each is processed
individually until I feel happy with the final result and I have usually forgotten at
the end what
I actually
did along the way. This is not a problem as it tends to avoid a
repetitive pattern which
might stifle the individuality of each final image. Sometimes, no, quite
often, the process
can become tired and stale and this can result in hours of work being
binned.
The images of IndigoMoods should
be of interest to designers, photographic
buyers, writers and publishers and corporate and commercial clients.
